Signal bridge
The signal is red after a westbound Metra train went by, and is now at the Cumberland station. The track going off to the left, goes into the Des Plaines coach yard. Way back in the 1980s, the CNW used to park commuter trains here for the night, and on weekends. Also, the APL stack trains used to go through the coach yard as well. They would go from the New Line, which is now the Milwaukee Subdivision, and cut through the coach yard to connect with the Harvard Subdivision for the run into Chicago.
